I was preparing for my daughter’s sleepover party this past weekend. Surprisingly, it was more like preparing for Thanksgiving since I was basically baking and cooking all morning and throughout the day. I surprised myself since I rarely bake or cook but am capable of doing it when I’m motivated.
As I was figuring out a menu for the sleepover, I found myself at a Williams-Sonoma store. This is my favorite store for buying cool kitchen gadgets and anything cooking/baking related. They happened to have a taste testing and found myself sampling their cider and loved it from the first sip. I’m not a cider expert but I loved everything about the apple cider—from the complexity of the spices to the cozy temperature of the drink. Everything about the drink immediately made me feel at home and in front of a warm fireplace.
I just knew this apple cider would be a hit at the sleepover which it was. One of the girls commented how it’s the best cider she has ever had. Even one of the moms raved about it as well.
When I have more time maybe I’ll learn to make apple cider from scratch. For now, I’m happy purchasing this drink for special occasions since it saves me 3 hours if I was to make apple cider from scratch. The Five Apple Cider is real easy to make. You just need to add water to the concentrate and seep the the mulling spices (in a mesh tea ball) for 20 minutes over medium heat and it becomes the perfect drink on a chilly day.
